Working poor need help from government

One of the great things about Canada is its social safety net. People who fall on hard times or are struggling can usually look to some form of government assistance to help them.

A 2004 study by Social Development Canada showed only 25.6 per cent of the working poor had access to a dental plan while only 26.5 per cent had access to a health care plan.

Schools can't rely on stimulus funds
