BriteSmile cancels sale (Contra Costa Times)
Walnut Creek-based BriteSmile Inc. (BSML), a maker of teeth whitening systems, canceled a deal to sell its 17 spa centers to Dental Spas LLC of Fairfield, Iowa. The $20 million deal was announced in January, but the sale agreements were not met. Besides the dental spas, the sale included BriteSmile's teeth whitening pen, toothpaste and mouthwash products.
