Finding replacement Sonicare brush heads for your electric toothbrush

By Rebecca Blain

Fortunately, for those who own a Sonicare toothbrush, Sonicare brush heads are easy to replace. As every modular toothbrush is only compatible with brushes that have the same type of head, you need to make certain that you have the proper heads before you try to make an installation of your replacement brush heads.

Sonicare brush heads, like many of the common name electric brush heads, can be found anywhere where electric toothbrushes and other brush heads are sold.

As this is the case, you need to make certain that the brush head fits properly, or you can break your electric toothbrush.

There are several reasons that this can happen, should you try to fit a non matching brush head with your electric toothbrush. The primary reason is due to how an electric toothbrush works. If the brush cannot turn or move the head properly, the mechanism can jam, and the motor that operates the brush can burn out and break. Should this happen, you will need to replace your electric toothbrush.

In addition to this, should you use heads other than Sonicare brush heads in a Sonicare brush, functions like the Sonicare 4600 Quadpacer may not work, which interferes with your ability to clean your teeth as well as you would like. Malfunctioning features like the Sonicare 4600 Quadpacer can cause problems associated with not brushing long enough, or gum sores from brushing for too long.

On account of this, it is very important that you take the time to maintain and properly care for your modular toothbrush, and purchase the proper replacements for it so that your brush is not ruined and your gums are not negatively affected by an ill-fitting brush head. As long as you take your time and select the proper brush heads, as well as install them properly, you will not encounter any of these issues.
