How to select Replacement Toothbrush Heads to fit your needs

By Rebecca Blain

Selecting Replacement toothbrush heads can be a difficult chore if you are looking for something more in your electric toothbrush. When you are making this decision, you need to make certain that you know everything you can about your toothbrush. Some toothbrushes will allow you to interchange a variety of different replacement toothbrush heads into the model. Most electric brushes, however, require that you put the same brand of replacement toothbrush heads into the electric toothbrush.

Braun Oral-B Brush heads, for example, will only work in a Braun Oral-B Electric toothbrush. Cybersonic brush heads will also only work with compatible brushes. This can limit your choice in Replacement Toothbrush heads, although many companies such as Oral-B and Sonicare make it a priority to provide as many different replacement toothbrush heads as absolutely possible. As this is a priority, there are many outlets that carry all of the heads you need, regardless of brand name and model. Of course, the more popular brushes will have more of a variety and can be found in nearly any store that sells brushing supplies.

When you are selecting your new brush heads, you should make certain that you select the one that matches your brushing style. If you have sensitive gums and teeth, you should be careful only to use the brushes that have softer bristles and are designed to be gentle. If you are searching for a deeper clean, you will want stiffer bristles that work around the teeth and gums. If you prefer something in the middle of the road, the average set of bristles would work best for you. If you are careful with how you select your brushes, you should be able to make the best choice for you.
